In “The Race Card,” a dinner party is taking place at the house of Harold and his wife. Things are going well…until Harold begins taking the conversation in an awkward, and offensive, direction. Stereotypes fly left and right. This night isn’t going to end well…or is it? Writer/director Audrey Noone sets up the scene with an record providing the soundtrack, and punctuating the awkwardness as a record scratches after each remark by Harold. It’s well-executed, but not quite as amusing as it could be, even with an ending as unexpected as this one. An entertaining scene, though, to be sure.
