solo commentaries
Angel: Orpheus
Date of Track: March 2005
Style of Track: Doubly geeky fanboy. His latest solo track, Brian discusses the importance within the Buffyverse of this Season Four episode from the Joss Whedon-David Greenwalt series, and why it’s his favorite in the series’ five-year history.
Fantasia/2000
Date of Track: April 2003
Style of Track: Amateur analysis. His third solo commentary, Brian looks at Disney's underrated continuation of Walt Disney's 1940 landmark in an engaging and thoughtful commentary.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Amends
Date of Track: March 2003
Style of Track: Geeky fanboy. His second solo track, Brian talks with passion and intelligence- sometimes- about his favorite TV show, and his personal favorite episode, this Joss Whedon gem from Season Three.
The Simpsons: Moaning Lisa
Date of Track: February 2003
Style of Track: Highly personal. His first solo commentary, Brian looks at the themes of this classic early episode of TV's most iconic cartoon and relates them to his own experiences. He also laughs every once in a while, too.

Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan
- Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan (part 1 of 3)
- Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan (part 2 of 3)
- Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan (part 3 of 3)
Date of Track: March 2004
Style of Track: We like, we love it. Largely considered the best of the “Star Trek” franchise, Ron and Dave are hard-core fans of the film from way back, while- at the time- I was still a bit of a convert. The years since this track have been kind for the film.
The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring
- The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (part 1 of 4)
- The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (part 2 of 4)
- The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (part 3 of 4)
- The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (part 4 of 4)
Date of Track: August 2003
Style of Track: Literate and critical. There were times when this commentary had to be rerecorded, but in discussing the extended edition of Peter Jackson’s Oscar-winning beginning to his epic trilogy, the Yahoos are feeling the love for Jackson’s trilogy.

Planet of the Apes (2001)
Date of Track: Summer 2004
Style of Track: Affectionate and analytical. Going through their first film of personal favorite Tim Burton, the Yahoos also happen to choose arguably the most divisive. Most people don’t care for Burton’s “reimagination” of the Pierre Boulle novel (and Charlton Heston-starring classic film), but it’s not so black-and-white where the Yahoos come down.
Independence Day
Date of Track: Summer 2003
Style of Track: Nerd anyone? Before he made crap-fests like “Godzilla” and “10,000 B.C.” (with “The Day After Tomorrow” not far behind), Roland Emmerich hit fanboy worship critical mass with this phenomenon alien invasion thriller where the White House gets blowed up really good. It kind of also launched Will Smith’s movie career, so, you know, big props there.
Serenity
Date of Track: December 2005
Style of Track: Argumentative. The Yahoos clearly love Joss Whedon’s TV show “Firefly,” and their passion lead them to an advance screening of the show’s big screen incarnation. But as Whedon wrote in his “Buffy” musical, “Where Do We Go From Here?” They talk a lot about their opinions of the movie the night of the film’s DVD release. And of the movie itself? They get to it every once in a while.
